WellFlon® PTFE Solar laminating fabric is a high-temperature laminating cloth specially used for solar laminating machine. It uses glass fiber as the base material, suspended polytetrafluoroethylene (commonly known as plastic king) emulsion as the raw material, and is impregnated with high-performance glass fiber base fabric.

Principle of use of PTFE solar laminating fabric:

When the laminating machine presses the solar photovoltaic module, the laminating fabric is placed on the top and bottom layers of the photovoltaic module as a cover fabric and a pad fabric. The anti-stickiness of the laminating fabric is used to prevent the EVA film and other materials from sticking to the laminating machine at high temperature.


1.PTFE High-temperature fabric for laminating in the laminating machine

When laminating the backplane, the order of materials is PTFE (Teflon) high-temperature fabric + glass + EVA + battery cell + EVA + backplane + PTFE (Teflon) fabric, mainly using the anti-stickiness of PTFE (Teflon) to prevent EVA from sticking to the laminating machine.

Specifications for use: Small laminating machines can have an inner width of 1.25 meters, and large laminating machines have widths of 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, and 2.4 meters, with varying lengths, generally within 6 meters.

2.PTFE High temperature fabric for conveyor belt in laminator

The battery panels in the automatic laminator are transported through a high temperature resistant and anti-sticking conveyor belt. Since the laminator is vacuumed, in order to prevent the fabric from sucking the board, the surface of the fabric is required to have textures, and the tension of the conveyor belt should not be too large during transportation.

How to use PTFE solar laminated fabric correctly?

In the sales of laminating machines, manufacturers always put two sheets of laminated fabric in the laminating machine. It is to remind the manufacturers of the importance of solar laminated fabric in production. The function of the laminated fabric is to isolate the melted EVA from sticking to the upper chamber rubber plate and the laminating machine heating plate. Once the EVA sticks to the rubber plate and the heating plate, it will be difficult to remove.

The correct way to use it: equip a laminating machine with at least 4 sheets of solar laminated fabric. After each use, do not reuse it immediately, but put it aside and wait for the non-stick to cool down completely, and then completely clean the EVA on the laminated cloth to keep the original color of the laminated fabric. If the EVA on the laminated fabric cannot be completely cleaned, these EVA will stick to the glass of the battery module when used again. At this time, no matter what EVA is used to clean it, EVA particles will be left on the glass. When the battery panel is used outdoors, these EVA particles will melt again and stick to the glass. And absorb dust on the glass. This dust cannot be removed. Sometimes dust will block the battery cell and form a long-term hot spot effect.


Notes on PTFE solar laminated fabric:
1. Before cutting the laminated fabric and installing it on the machine, please try to keep the surface of the high-temperature fabric flat and wrinkle-free, otherwise it will cause creases on the laminated surface and affect the service life!
2. During use, if there is EVA glue or other residues on the surface of the anti-stick fabric, just wipe it clean with a semi-wet cotton fabric!
3. The colors of laminated fabric from different batches may vary, which is normal, but it will not affect the product quality, let alone the use!
