Solar Module Lamination
PTFE-coated fibreglass fabric is used as a non-stick release liner or belt in photovoltaic (PV) module vacuum lamination processes. Thanks to the durability, high mechanical strength, defect-free nature and excellent release properties of our PTFE fabric, WellFlon helps our customers minimise production downtime and improve module quality.
Wind Turbine Blade Release
This application also uses PTFE porous and adhesive fabrics. We customise PTFE porous fabric with balanced porosity and release properties, as well as high mechanical strength. For PTFE adhesive fabric, our mould release tape provides an easy release and has high mechanical strength, enabling it to be easily reused many times.
Fuel Cell Isolating Membranes
WellFlon PTFE thin film and PTFE-coated fibreglass fabric further improve the efficiency of fuel cells. They offer modularity to the cell system and act as a tight separator and seal within the cells.
Our WellFlon protection solution is based on multi-layer, multi-material PTFE-based composites and is reinforced with fibreglass or aramid fabric. It can perform well as a separator in challenging conditions ranging from -150°C to +300°C, frequent flexing, elevated pressures, and exposure to chemicals.
Catalytic layers Manufacturing
A fuel cell is an electrochemical cell that converts hydrogen and oxygen into electricity through a pair of redox reactions. It is environmentally friendly and efficient, and plays an important role in protecting our environment.
WellFlon PTFE-coated fabric is used as a release belt in the decal process for producing integral catalytic layers for fuel cells. The decal process takes place in a sticky, hot environment, but the heat-resistant properties and mechanical strength of WellFlon belts make them a reliable carrier for catalytic ink and decal substrate.
Expansion Joint
PTFE or silicone fabric is used as an expansion joint in coal-fired power stations and chemical plants, where it is designed to perform reliably in severe working environments involving high temperatures, high corrosion and constant vibration.
Oil and Gas
Due to their superior corrosion-resistant properties and outstanding dielectric strength, PTFE adhesive tape and PTFE adhesive film are used to insulate cables in oil fields and many other harsh environments in the oil and gas industry. Fluorine-coated or silicone-coated fabric is also used as an insulation protection blanket, since these composite materials have unique properties.
